Devlog #1 — Day One: Game Start, Asset Launch
Today marks the beginning of two things:
1. The survival game I’ve always wanted to make.
2. The BareByte asset line starting with the idle animation I built for it.
I couldn’t find the right animation for my vision: something alive even when standing still. So I made one.
What you get:
-
192-frame idle animation
-
8 directions (24 frames each)
-
Transparent PNG's
-
Full sprite sheet turnaround + individual direction
-
Modular nude base (censored)
-
Ready to extend with overlays (clothes, dirt, gear)
I call this BareByte because it starts raw just enough to move, breathe, feel. From here, I’ll build up layers: dirt, clothes, tools, expressions.
This asset is part of the same game I’m building. Every frame you see was made with the same care I’m putting into my own world. If it’s not good enough for me, I don’t release it.
“Built as I survive. Updated as I grow.”
Follow along. Next up: Walk Animation

BareByte
I’m building a survival game one asset at a time. I make these for myself. I sell them for devs like you.
